And the hud is the fighter HUD, if I'm not mistaken. I think there's a new version out, designed to fit better with Oolite 1.73.4, and looking slightly different to the one El Viejo is using...
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)

Yeah that's the Fighter HUD... I don't know of any new one yet.
It's possible that Capt. Kev has something in mind for 1.74
The sample pic on the Wiki is not the one in the download... it is the same as above.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Ah... and I was just about to add that you can customise your player ship colours quite nicely.Corny wrote:Ah okay. No colorful Griff-ships for me with the Intel GMA 950, then.

Sounds like it's time to spend some cash and get an nvidia card.. even the cheap ones will give you full shaders.. (or are you using a laptop?)Corny wrote:Ah okay. No colorful Griff-ships for me with the Intel GMA 950, then.
So I'll need the Deepspace-ships after all!
Also, thanks for the info regarding the HUD, maybe I'll try it out
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Thanks JazzHas for adding the Deepspace HUD to the wiki. I know I haven't been on here for a while. I've been dealin' with RL. Not a lot of time to do anything else at the mo.
The Deepspace Ships OXP is still ongoing and I haven't forgotten it. Its about 80-85% done I reckon maybe 90%. I don't think I have too many more ships left. Probably only a few of the big ships and a couple of the small ones like the Moray Starboat.
I'll get back to it though soon I promise. Although I have to say Griff's ships look bloody awesome!
Maybe once I finish these I'll re-visit them adding Normal Maps and Specular Maps to enhance them
I also like the work done by some people with the different backgrounds for the menus too... hmmmmm.
Anyway keep flying....

Can't wait for the final release, If you can't be bothered normal mapping/effects mapping them I'll more than likely do it anyway, like I did for Sungs texturesDeepSpace wrote:Thanks JazzHas for adding the Deepspace HUD to the wiki. Precisely. Whenever I hear talk about shaders this and shaders that, and my eyeballs weep at the beauty of those 'shady' craft, I sometimes feel those of us with non-shadered non-upgradable laptop GPU's are being forgotten. Thank goodness DeepSpace is providing some great looking textures for us. (Although I do already have some installed from other OXPs)DaddyHoggy wrote:... anybody without shader support will be as happy as a pig rolling in mud to have these babies whizzing across their screens.
Before I forget, DeepSpace, where did you get that skin in your avatar? The red-striped Cobby. It looks just like I want a Cobby to look - especially the weathered edges (I can never do that properly in GIMP) and sense of physicality it has.
