Glad you enjoyed it! Look out for the DaddyHoggy cruising the spacelanes at Lave .

As for the 0.2LM thing, in both books the ident computer has been able to give the 'current' speed of the ship targetted (though Oolite doesn't do this). The Vampire was travelling as an escort with the OoHaul freighters, hence the slow speed. (It's not travelling at full throttle at that point basically)

I made a conscious decision not to muck about with the 'paradox' thing , so gave Rebecca's older self (Rebka) a throwaway line to get around it..

Definitive complete version (I'm making some minor tweaks and tidy ups) will be ready for the competition and then followed by hardcopy shortly afterwards!

Cheers,

Drew.

I've been thinking about the demo Ahruman gave of adding decals - perhaps I could investigate ('though the whole shader code thing scares me!) and do a whole fleet of Oo-haulers with names (decals) extracted from these very boards - life imitating art...

Re Vampire speed - perhaps you could have 0.2LM (0.45LM) or 0.2LM (44% Thrust) thus giving an indication of it's dreamy spec....

I'm guess the brackets cock up the url tags...
Yes, brackets have to be masked in url's (by the way: my Mac's c&p-function does that automatically for me :) ). The other thing is that if you want to post a plain link, you don't need to use tags at all.

Code: Select all

http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Fastest_Ships_%28Oolite%29
becomes

http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Fastes ... 8Oolite%29

Only if you want to use other wording in your link you need the url tags at all. But in this case the link goes into the opening tag, preceeded by a '='. So

Code: Select all

[url=http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Fastest_Ships_%28Oolite%29]an interesting page on the wiki[/url]
becomes

an interesting page on the wiki

See? :D
