When I worked in basic physics, we built our patented 'scratch resistance tester' out of Meccano, rubber bands and cotton reels! Did the job just fine! :wink:
Back on the original theme, I was particularly impressed by this material. I've followed the work on Bucky balls with considerable interest ever since I first saw an article about them in New Scientist, waiting eagerly to see what became possible.
