Hi FSONeblin!
I still don't think the role problem is fixed.
If you still find something, the usual routine: You tell me what & where and it gets fixed for the next release ...
It still says That another role for the condor is wingman
That one`s intentional. Condor`s can still be wingmen! A wingman is an escort for police only, actually it`s police itself.
The problem is that as far as I know there is no way to specify that a wingman always is a smaller ship than its leader (mother). So there are only three solutions to this:
1. Let only ships of similar size become police and/or wingmen. Then no "small mother" - "big wingman" constellation can happen. Problem: No big police ships at all.
2. Let only very big ships become "mother" (i.e. police) and only medium to small ships wingmen. Problem: No more small to medium police ships. Only police carriers I think are illogical.
3. Let any fitting ship become police and/or wingman. Problem: It could lead to a Viper leading a squadron of Condors.
I chose option 3 out of the above. A police leader and its wingmen are a bit like a little fleet. The statistical probability of a very small ship leading very big ships is low, and if it happens, its not competely absurd imo.
If there ever is a way to specify that wingmen are "smaller" in some regard than police - there is a similar problem, if you want to see it that way, with civilian escorts - I will use it. As yet, I don`t see a better solution. If you have further suggestions, let`s hear them!
And for the happy eye preacher, well
I had a look at your inspector picture, but don`t understand what the problem might be with the happy eye preacher? Care to explain?
Have a nice day

Hi. I'm new to Oolite, so I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question, but ...
... is there any chance of offering a version of this OXP which will work with v1.65? I'm a Debian user, and 1.7x is not packaged yet, even in unstable or experimental. So I'm stuck with 1.65 for the foreseeable future. I'd really like to try RS ...
If not, are there any other multi-ship OXPs which combine dozens of separate downloads into one?
Many thanks,
Chris

You will be happy to know that there is, in fact, a packaged version of 1.71.2 for Linux. It can be found on the Oolite project's Berlios page:
https://developer.berlios.de/project/sh ... se_id=7424
Scroll to bottom, the release is marked on the page.

It says that anther role for the preacher is trader, It is not like I have a problem with that, It is just that, well, it does not seem like a trader, master. So I was just wondering if this was intentional. It all makes sense to me now for the condor.

Thanks, but I'd rather not bypass the packaging system which is the whole point of using Debian. I'd be happy to lobby for a new upstream release to be packaged for Debian, but that's unlikely until there is a 1.7x release which is declared as stable or at least not beta.
So, back to my original question: is there any way of adding multiple ship OXPs to 1.65 without eighty-five separate downloads?
Thanks,
CC

Basically No. RS relies on the autoAI command so that when a ship appears as a trader it behaves as a trader but when the same ship appears as a pirate it behaves as a pirate. This requires V1.70+ of Oolite. You could install RS on a lower version of Oolite and it would sort of work, but you get some very strange behaviour from the NPC ships. Really you need 1.70+ of Oolite for RS to work properly.
However, there are quite a few multi-ship packs available (eg: Old Ships, New Ships, the Specials, Wolfwood's Varients, Murgh's X-Ships) that install lots of ships with one download. Have a check of the Wiki page here for the details of which packs contain what:-

As the nice people of this friendly board have basically answered all the questions for me in my absence, only one thing remains to be answered:
It says that anther role for the preacher is trader, It is not like I have a problem with that, It is just that, well, it does not seem like a trader, master. So I was just wondering if this was intentional.
You might just find one or the other unintentionally given strange role distribution, but that is not one of them. I actually did this on purpose, think of a really crappy trader like a frogspace rickshaw is a really crappy taxi ... third world street trader, but trader nonetheless.
Questions can only make you stronger, young Padawan. So go forth and trade in an ancient Happy Eye Preacher to prove your ultimate strength to the unbelievers
See ya @Achenar

Sorry for being late answering this. Achenar is about 3LY galactic west of Biorle in galaxy 1. You can't travel to it though, because GalCop have not shown it on galactic maps.

Even if you don't ever play FE2/FFE to see them for yourself (yeah, they're visually dated, but back then those graphics were state of the art), you can go to
Jades' First Encounters Site where you'll find a lot of stuff about the games, including a
schematic map of those games' human-inhabited systems with at least one spaceport (the main area, disregarding far colonies and outposts) after the galactic unification and the new naming algorithm on FE2/FFE[1].
Some systems' names weren't changed, though. You can find Lave and the surrounding systems on sector (-3,-6), and the Galaxy 1 area extends roughly from (-4,-7) to (-1,7).
Achenar is the single inhabited system on (1,-4).
[1]Except for Gateway, which was only so named after the creation of the Alliance.
Sooo ... a few pics from Oolite + RS 3.02

A few pics from Oolite 1.71.2 with Realistic Shipyards 3.02 installed for the photo albums ... nothing too spectacular, have been running if it gets too spectacular
A police fleet:
A main station & a Special Interstellar Repairs- & Shipyard with a Stingray system vessel:
A SWAT Condor police vessel ready to swat those pesky pirates:
Last but not least, I got into trouble with the police - their most terrible weapon, the Navy Constitution, and:
A nice excuse to play around with the forum`s image function

Greetings humans,
Small and simple question. The wiki says this one needs the "Pirate Clan One" OXP, but it's not on the list. Where does a simple alien find this, or has it morphed into something else?
