Is it just me, or do the pylons on the Krait resemble certain filter-tipped sticks of shredded, dried, chemically-processed plant leaves, used for recreational purposes and now illegal to ignite within enclosed public spaces in the UK?

What? Oh no! Never! It's highly illegal to advertise any toxic products. The Cosmorossi team and their friendly sponsors Marlbooroo would never do such a thing. Marlbooroo is a line of clothing of course. Of course.

An idea, have a couple of Hognoses standing by.

Accidental collisions and breakdowns do happen in heated races, and a tow truck has to be called onto the course to pull the disabled craft out of the way.

Nice paintjobs! I'll grab 'em and stick them on the appropate .dat files! Gonna make 'em unarmed with no equipment except fuel injectors (saves weight) and a little quicker than the standard version of the ship. I'll also add Murgh's dragsters and boyracers (small chance as these are very fast!) to the pack.

OK, made a start on the Wackracers OXP. This is the plan:-

A "race-circuit" will be added to Corperate States above a certain tech-level, ouside the space lanes so you'd need an advanced space compase to find it.

The race circuit will consist of 7 or 8 rings (got Giles racing rings for that and I think i've understood his AI). The first ring I'll respray with a chequed flag, as its the Start / Finish line. The other 8 rings are placed over a 25km area to mark the track. As its a 3D enviorment though, the track goes up and down as well as having corners. In the middle of the circuit is a modded rock-hermit. Positioned around the track are monitor drones. These will scanforOffences and disqualify the player if the spot him firing on the racers. (Course there may be blind spots

). Patroling the area will be some Race Police in Vipers. Whenever the player visits there'll be some racers practicing on the circuit. Docking with the Modded Rock Hermit will call up the chance of a race starting. If the chance hits the player gets a mission briefing expaining that a race is about to start and offers the choice of entering or not. If the player enters then he is launched and asked to form up on the Grid. The NPC racers will make their way to the start line and then the race starts.

@Doc or anybody else, do you fancy doing a bit more respaying!

-A resprayed rock hermit, maybe with some team logos as the Race Administator's Office.
-A resprayed Nav Beacon to act as the monitor drone.
-A resprayed Viper for the Racing Police.

Will there be an entrance fee? i.e a small gamble on a prize? For the top 3 finishers?

Yeah was thinking of an entrance fee. Think I'll have to make it a condition that you are Clean to enter the race (otherwise the wheaze for detecting that the player has cheated by lasering up the opposition won't work). Think I know how to script to detect if the player was the 1st ship to pass the start / finish line, but not too sure how I could do prizes for 2nd 3rd etc, so it may have to be "winner takes all."

I'd prefer it if the OXP development was moved and the actual create-a-race-team-livery/biography remained in Discussion, since I was originally intending to enhance the Wiki.

And hey! There are still 21 teams that await liveried ships and 23 team biographies/trivia wanted!!
