Given that I'm only on my second ship (i.e. first purchase), my best is taking out 5 pirate ships that were escorting a boa but took an unhealthy interest in my cargo.
You sure they were pirates? I've never seen pirates in a Boa. Pythons, sure. What was their legal status?

I guess for me it was finishing off the Constrictor in two barrages totalling about 10 seconds: https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.ph ... c&start=75 (second post on that page) though it looks like I was very lucky.

You did well there, I don't know how Oolite handles it, but my previous versions of Elite would spew out Galcop vipers from the station ad infinitum, and they would just keep coming at you, and interplanetry travel could be interesting too! I think Oolite produces far less Galcops.
I think there's a limit to the number of system ship blurted out by stations. Seems a bit odd tho'.

Indeed, the limit is set by max_defense_ships and max_police_ships in the station's shipdata.

And my most glorious combat scene? ... Well, there were so many, weren't they? Perhaps in one of the worse anarchies, with two bands of pirates jumping on me, together with two or three renegades or stolen military ships. I had to take these out first, as multiple lasers can be quite annoying, depending on which side of it you're on. Then the pirates one after the other, using the injectors to seperate them (some follow, some don't). And finally, when collecting the booty, blowing up one or two more pirates who--completely unjustified--claim their share. Total killcount? In the range of 15 to 20, as I like to slaughter multilaser ships slowly. And each subentity gives a kill. :D

Weird moments

Yesterday I was wondering if I should start a thread about your weirdest moments in the Ooniverse; I was docking at a Collective ZGF when the station spontaneously exploded. But I never got round to it.

Today a moment suitable for the Pulp Fiction category (as well as weirdest moment):

A Merlin was for sale in a tech 9 communist world. As I always wanted to test one I bought it, launched and fired a few shots at the station (bringing me to Offender status). The station let loose a few ships - among them a Constitution.

My first obvious thought, of course "shopping spree! :D", so I started the docking computer and left my Mac to see what would happen. The Communist minions couldnt really focus their effort to kill me, and I eventually docked with the Constitution. Next thing I notice is a launch sound from the Mac - the Constitution had been destroyed and I was expelled from it. Now with a Clean status.

I didnt even manage to get some new hardware on my Merlin..... Would have been my most profitable 5 minutes ever!

How about just letting the station launch a single hard head missile at me in the first place???

Not really a PF moment, but while I was playing a couple of nights ago, I was browsing the ships for sale and there was a Tiger (I think) with a cargo capacity of -10 tons. How does that work then?

It was overloaded.

What might have happened is that the mamba and sidewinder were previously in bust up with a pirate, and during the fracass one accidently hit the other, and after the pirate was "removed" they were left with each other.
This is indeed the most probable situation.
