Oolite Bulletins

revisiting the magnet idea, that bit about different mass is interesting, in that - what if you could blast a ship until the guy ejected, then snag the hull and tow it back for sale?! could nab you say C25k instead of a few credits off some alloys! dragging a ship have to affect your handling speed (WOULD it, in zero g?! ) and negate the use of a Torus, perhaps.

Be faily easy to have Cloaked Fer-de-lance pirates added. Will include a small chance of encountering them as a bouns feature in the Black Monk OXP. You won't obtain a cloak by shooting them down however and you'll still have to do the native Cloaking Device mission to get one yourself.

Have finished the ships and AIs for the Black Monks oxp but still have to do the script. Should get a beat up next week.

It seems the good ideas keep coming round - eventually they're well timed with somebody who has the skill and the time to turn them into an OXP (like Roberto's and then my idea for getting loans - LB being the skilful one in question this time)

cool idea Daddy, better than using my scoop magnet : maybe a better idea would be an option to replace a rear military laser w/ a tractor beam (available at any reasonable Tech level)?? than any ship could take on salvage/rescue missions from bulletin boards etc. Be pretty cool to hype in somewhere and get a ship-to-ship broadcase saying "can you take me to the station? i'll pay C1000" and you could tractor them to the Nav Buoy or such like (having to release and protect them if you get attacked"

has anyone suggested having the station bulletin boards re-implemented?
io liked those on Frontier, it added a little spice, having the ability to take assassination contracts, or carry packages (the small type that didn't affect cargo space) are fly escort duties etc.

You can carry packages or passengers. (hit the 8 key twice when docked)
