or a cargo scanner. that way you'd know it was worth dumping your tons of alloys if you found containers full of gold etc.

It's awful and a shame that there's no 'marker bouy' equipment that you can dump to mark the location with an 'M' on an Advanced Space Compass.
Actually there is. I just found ettBeaconLauncher.oxp on oosat, but haven't tried it out yet.

@KW - You could always dump your least precious cargo just before picking up another one - it's a bit of a gamble but hey, so is life! :)

And also thanks for liking my Avatar-Ship. It's the Orion, the ship from a German Cult-TV-Series of the 60's, "Raumpatrouille". It came back into the cinemas some time ago. Its Captain was - guess who... :)
