Re: (WIP) Anaconda Cruise Liners
Carnooval Cruise Line
Royal Caribooean Cruises
Coonard Line (You got this one)
Vikoong Cruises
Hoolland Cruise Line
Crooystal Cruises
Spaceboourn Cruises
Googled "Cruise Lines" and then came up with the above. The double "OO" thing is a give or take as this is just a starting point. As for liveries my only suggestion would be for more portholes/windows/view ports or whatever you may want to call them.
A final idea has occurred to me. A bus/train/airline type of service. It would be for all of those that need to travel between Planets or Systems on the cheap. They would not have it in them to fly their own ship or go for the more expensive "private" service offered by a Passenger Berth. Taxi Galactica tends to do shorter, in system, service so would not apply. Commies' Orca Worker's Commuter comes to mind as a reference.

Virgoon.
Akshle, the double-O thing makes me cringe, every time.
Any chance of an anaconda with very Teutonic-looking, very large blackletter-ing saying "Cholzburton", and underneath in a modern typeface, "FINEST DIGIBITEAN ARISTO-CHEESE"?
Actually, "Carnivore", or "Carnivoor" if you must.
"There are large, white swans, and there are small, black swans," he explained, "But there are no medium-sized swans, and there are no grey swans. The non-existence of grey swans mitigates against belief in Mr Darwin's theory."

Re: (WIP) Anaconda Cruise Liners
The benefit of going with the galaxy name variations for the cruise line companies, is that, regardless of whether you use the relevant OXP or not, the name can sound like an authentic cruise line. For instance

So even if I include a few nods to things like P&Oo, these other ones will probably still make the cut.

Re: (WIP) Anaconda Cruise Liners
My concern with the SpaceLanes above was based on the worry that these liners would have nowhere to go without their passengers all bailing out in fright. Unless they just pootle aimlessly around their home Corporate system, visiting Rock Hermits and skimming the sun.
It naturally depends on one's definition of a "safe system". My personal experience is that only Corporates and Democracies which are reasonably isolated from nastier systems are truly "safe". Ensoreus, for example, is jolly dangerous - skillions of pirates even if there is a heavy police presence.
So, presuming that pirates do not travel in massively huge packs, a sizeable squad of GalCop vipers accompanying the liner on one of the known Space Lanes would seem to me to have a better chance of a quiet cruise, untrammelled by the attentions of the pug-uglies. The horrendous cost of the cruise tickets presumably helps recompense GalCop for their tender attentions!

Not Republican systems only? And, the Tory party colours used to be red too, in the early days of Queen Victoria.

So, a Galcop escort? Interesting idea. Hmm, I feel like I saw some new Viper textures recently, somewhere. Don't tell me, it'll come to me shortly...

Re: (WIP) Anaconda Cruise Liners
Coding the path these liners take is, at the moment, a secondary concern. The creative process of coming up with enough variations of these ships is where I'm spending most of my time.Cholmondely wrote: ↑Thu Apr 17, 2025 11:18 amMy concern with the SpaceLanes above was based on the worry that these liners would have nowhere to go without their passengers all bailing out in fright. They look finger-lickin' good. You obviously have a flair for this sort of thing!
I suppose that the "windows" in the cabins are really View-Screens.

Re: (WIP) Anaconda Cruise Liners
Absolutely. The management of the cruise lines reserve the right to suspend viewing in the event of unforeseen circumstances. However, the viewscreens take up an entire wall in the cabins, displaying the wonders of space in 32K resolution - as real as if you were really there!Cholmondely wrote: ↑Thu Apr 17, 2025 12:30 pmI suppose that the "windows" in the cabins are really View-Screens.
