It's this new BB business of hiding the quotes. The connection is the bit from Disembodied lurking at the very bottom of the quotation, his recent definition of computers as "organic brainlets".

Yes, I read the quoted material, and assumed that was the pertinent part, but I don't see any connection to the lasers issue. Is it the case, perhaps, you had found that, found it interesting, and were looking for any excuse/place to post it?

Responding to what Disembodied wrote, I have a theory about the interwebs. I think the internet has already achieved consciousness/sentience, and much of the foolishness we've seen propagated online in recent years is actually the internet performing a Turing test on humanity, trying to figure out if we are conscious or not.

True. I really suspect that.
