Thing is not everyone wants every OXP (although I play with them all installed). Thats what makes the game so good. It is almost infinatley expandable and players customise it as they wish. Be a shame to lose that variety in game play.

That is why Oolite was designed to easily integrate oxps. The core game is simple, classic Elite with enhanced gameplay. Extra ships, skins, etc., are all optional, and thus provided as optional downloads. The current system seems to work fine, and as they say: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Ok, I will simplify this. Oolite(Elite) + Coriolis = standard feature.
Now try this...
Oolite(Elite) + Nice textured Coriolis = standard feature
Oolite minus coriolis standard plus coriolis gritty equals standard feature.
Or maybe, Oolite minus polygon filled gfx = wireframe standard..

Or to put it another way "replace original coriolis texture with gritty one".

There should be an occasional shiny one! A station that looks like it was just taken out of spacedock. Maybe to replace one that got messed up in an unfortunate q-bomb handling accident....

Lol, agreed.
But I was struggling to make my point here
As far as textures are concerned, I don't think either will cause the interweb to implode, sucking all computers with it beyond the virtual event horizon!
