Queenslanders... what can I say? :)
You could say, "If only Sydneysiders were as smart as Queenslanders, and resisted the DST nonsense too."

Heh.. I maintain that SE Queensland is so far east of Sydney that it should have its own timezone..
so.... the whole of Sydney is the western suburbs then....lol

I'm retired so don't need to worry about timekeeping, and completely forgot about this until Monday, when I noticed that the date on one of my cameras was an hour out - all of my clocks and watches are radio controlled, either atomic clocks or because they're digital radio / tv, and reset automatically.

Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said millions "believe that in future, summer time should be year-round, and that's what will happen".
By all means abolish DST, but summer time all year round? I do hope the UK doesn't follow suit.

Once again, I am discombobulated! They've cancelled just about everything else - couldn't they have cancelled BST too?

My atomic clocks laugh once again... apart from the one in the kitchen which of course is high up and greasy, and had a battery that was low enough on juice that it wasn't receiving the time signal. Now fixed, but annoying.

DST, bah. Throws my whole system out of balance for a week or two.

Once I'm acclimated to it, no problem. But at first, blah! Pain in the ass.

DST: Digebitian Summer Time?

Where on earth do they have summer time on Digebiti? I heard a rumour that the autocephalous Scottish Catholic Church over in the Tews were into it, but it is hardly official!

and yet another turn around the local star has passed and still the noble Queenslanders resist the folly of DST.
