Of course it would make navigating a little more difficult! Planet mass lock can be annoying, because you can't see the limit (changing the range of the altimeter a bit would help), but this problem also occurs when approaching existing stations on the route given by the standard compass. Changing NPC AI would probably the bigger problem, because they would probably try to fly on a straight line right through the planet...

It's an advantage of choosing Leesti over Zaonce as a first jump - you can see the station more easily as it's right between the planet and the star and so really catches the light on the way in.Fritz wrote:Actually you can see many stations from the witchpoint, if you look closely.
