Marvellous. I imagine we could make a Monty Python joke out of that if we tried hard enough.

Are you new to the forums? As I say, I've been away for a bit (and indeed I may not be a frequent visitor in the future). Perhaps you are not, though; there were many people I didn't get to know or even did not come across much at all. (I know I could find out such things, probably, by searching the forums; I am being lazy.) Or perhaps I am just being forgetful.

Anyway: I never mastered graphics maps. I've made some OXPS, but graphics are either not involved, or more or less nicked (er, I mean borrowed . .) from other people. Or - as in my Fer-de-Lance 3G OXP - the normal map is a result largely of luck (and settings in the program called 'GIMP').

although relative new to the art of posting on this forum ( this summer), i myself am many summers old and followed oolite on and off for several years.

It is as they said a friendly forum with a huge amount of lovely hidden information on oolite

Great.

As to hidden stuff, you might want (well, it's a shameless plug really) to check out my Interstellar Tweaks expansion pack (also available via the in-game expansion pack manager). Just a suggestion! Anyway: welcome!

The Spam is a living animal, cloned from hot-dog tissue, and is the only mammal with no hair, teeth or bones, which is why people so seldom choose to photograph it. Its only relative is a synthetic jellyfish, the Velveeta. --Ask Dr. Science!

I've actually had spam for lunch all week and I'm here to recant my testimony. Unless they're spicing it with bland or extra-mild, it ain't spiced ham. Add it to the ever-growing list of things that ain't what they used to be.
