In real life - days!
Heh.. I was once stuck at the Threeways Roadhouse, in the Northern Territory, for 3 days.. just a petrol station and a camping ground in the middle of nowhere, hundreds of kilometres from anywhere, basically.. I was very broke and very hungry by the time I got out of there..

If you're going to get stuck somewhere, it's far better if it's hot and dry, rather than cold and wet - believe me, I know! The longest 'sticky' for me was several days on a backroad in the badlands of south-eastern Iran. Very hot and very dry, and hardly any passing vehicles - maybe one every couple of hours or so.

<grins> Indeed - not to mention riding on the 'smugglers express', bandits, bargaining with customs officials! Ahh yes, those were the days!

There was this one time in Kathmandu..... Sorry I can't back that up. It's a lie, a lie! A filthy wobbly porky.

I think the best I can do is recant tales of sweet talking my way out of bar fights. Not as epic as you two but personally satisfying none the less.

A handy knack to have, is that - though I have talked my way into a few bar fights too!

It was a ā€ˇGaelic football team and one of my friends had been in-advisably crass regarding our friends across the Irish sea. That was fun. Then there was the Bournemouth Bike gang and the pool game.

I've never lost so convincingly in my life.

[quote="Norby"]Although I do not crossed the Great Rift yet, I can imagine a geometrical solution behind this graph:

I've arrived at a suitable crossing point, done the maths, and looks good, just waiting for a hitch from a passing ship!

It's a shame the Rift Worlds aren't connected to the core parcel contracts network.

Hi - You know I was having a look at Parcel and Passenger contracts to see if anyone wanted to go or send something over there. Thanks to Norby it suddenly dawned on me yesterday the strategy for getting across the rift. I guess might be handy to pack some extra fuel and a Galactic Hyperdrive just in case :)

If you know the method, then it only requires practice and patience - and there is a way back across the Rift too.

Enjoyed the trip to Articeso. Very nice, pity I hadn't stocked up on Platinum before I left, its 77.0 credits over here!

Had a nice stay in Interstellar space, collected some alien items and took destroyed a Thargoid who was annoying me. Filled up with some fuel at a Battleship, and got out of there quickly.

Now to visit all the places in the area for the explorer's club, and then to figure out how to get back to the mainland!
