My digital camera is old. The company that made it folded. Fat chance of getting updated drivers for it. Crap! So forgive the lack of photo, I'll describe what lies in my cockpit.
Ship's computer core: A large, black tower case housing a homebuilt PC featuring an 8-core CPU, Geforce 650, 12 gigs of DDR3, one 500gb SSD, one 1tb high speed HDD, and two CD/DVD burners, running win 7 ultimate x64.
- GalNet access provided by a Motorola cable modem through a D-Link hardware firewall. All ethernet, no wireless links. Sorry wifi-jackers, pirate kiddie porn off someone else's bandwith!
Flight console:
- A huge 57" plasma screen TV that happens to have a DVI port in back. This thing makes a better monitor than most monitors.
- Koss PRO-AAA headphones. Ain't no skool like oldskool. Nothing trumps these muffs.
- X-52 joystick. Second-best just won't cut it.
- Logitech Trackman Marble, USB wired.
- Cheap Logitech USB wired keyboard. I plan to replace this with a cherry switch mechanical ASAP.
Assorted bits:
- A pocket calculator.
- A small box of various thumbdrives.
- a couple of spindles of blank CDs.
- A small LED flashlight. I live in a rural area, power failures tend to happen frequently.
- a mug of coffee.

Some people don't even have a mobile phone - I'm one of them (and I sold my DSLR a few years ago).

Let me repeat: Rural Area.
Portable items here in the woods are kept as rugged as possible, or failing that as cheap as possible so to be easily replaced. It's not if it's gonna be broken, it's when.
That said, no, I don't have a camera phone. Not rugged or cheap enough. My phone does voice calls and textmail only. Cheap and easily replaced, which is good as I've been through three of them so far.
I know, "buy an iphone!" Like I want to spend that kinda cash every other week cause it got broken again. it ain't happening.

Well, the bandana I recognised for what it was.. but a reflection of something else was causing the 'tache.. and making it look like he was wearing a hat.. the image on the OP reminded me one of the Mario Bros..

Mine looked like this about a year ago:
Now I've just recently moved to a bigger apartment, and have not got all pieces back where they should be (missing a pair of shelves for biggest part, those in the pic went with the previous apartment to the new owner), so no pic yet.

In a corner of a forgotten room of the house (had to remove some spider web to surface it
),
just doing the job every night for the last five years, away from prying eyes and other half's nagging,
...voila The Headless Terrastorage! (not an urban legend anymore)
