You might want to try the Explorers' Club OXP then!

As for ships, maybe the Python or Boa Clipper classes are what you're after?

I also like the new cargopods with glow which are painted with some kind of luminescent ink to get better visibility from distance.

More OXPs give informational upgrades like the mentioned Explorers' Club, I think these are usable by all players:

[wiki]Commanders_Log_OXP[/wiki]
[wiki]Flight_Log_OXP[/wiki]
[wiki]Gallery[/wiki]
[wiki]LogEvents[/wiki]
[wiki]Trophy_Collector[/wiki]

You can dig into the ship list in the wiki which is ordered by cargo capacity.

Then you'll probably like Explorer's Club OXP which keeps track of what systems you've visited in-game, as well as giving you the opportunity to complete various travel milestones and achieve Explorer rankings.

cheers Disembodied,Norby and Ranthe.....

looks like some more dl to go...lol

checking out the ships now , looks like a whole lot in the area i wanted ,will have to research and find which oxp i need to get them..
i dont want an uber ship but i think a sweet spot of 50t cargo and 10t to 15t passenger would be nice...
had a look into the oxp scripting last night and whoa!!! steep learning curve there... of course you could start by tweaking an existing ship and see what happens...
but i think a new 3d model is out of question with my abilities..lol
but why reinvent the wheel...

ok just looking at Military Stingray Mk II , Pelamis or Remorse of Conscience oxp's
at sub0.3 LM Pelamis might be a bit slow, however at 0.47 RoC seems a it too fast
maybe a Far Arm Tanker? at 50t on the small side of what i wanted but has a 10t extension available.....
damn this is harder than buying a used car!!!!!

How about the Python ET Special? 100 TC + 15 TC cargo bay extension; 0.35 LM; 5 energy banks; ₢360,000. Not too über: it's as fast as a Cobra III, but presents a bigger target and has one less missile slot - but it does have that one extra energy bank. Staer9's custom paintjob looks particularly fine, I think.

I think better if you change your ship sooner rather than work much more using the current small cargo to gather another 100kcr. Later you can buy another ship when you will have more money. So imho the best from the mentioned ships is the [wiki]Far_Arm_Tanker[/wiki], especially the R version with slightly weaker stats but for only 140000cr. This mean you can buy it rigth now for your cobra and your cash!

The best cheap and not slow trader ship in the wiki list is the [wiki]L-Crate_Hauler[/wiki] with his 150tc cargo capacity for 165000cr, but you can say this is too good and skip it.

Alternatively wait until you can buy a [wiki]Josher[/wiki] for 175000cr with more missile and energy, but this ship is not equippable with shield boosters.

I can confirm that.....really a good ship if you want to make money by trade and do some combat alongside......I currently fly it until I can afford the Caddy........I almost saved the money ;).....only real disadvantage of the ET Special is her size....you are a really good target, so if the bad guys largly outnumber you, you better keep distance......

1. Drop out some outfits from a Cobra3 - the Miner Cobra is based on this concept: has less energy, recharge and missiles to get 75t cargo. You can tune it further if you want.

2. A Rocket Miner can hold 60+15t with extension, can dock without rolling and has a fast but tricky drive.

Most OXP ships will have a wiki entry and will be depicted in the OXP ships section - go to Ships on the main page and scroll down.
If you click on 'E' you will find plenty of eagles (including both a Mk2 and a MkII ?!), but these are not the eagles you are looking for. This does mean that should you produce a version of the Gerry Anderson Eagle, you might be wise not to name it Eagle, although I realise that is unhelpful

Or you could call it something like "Eagle Alpha".

well i spent a lot of time and cookies going through the wiki basically looked at every one of the 174 ships...and as U2 said "i still havent found what i'm looking for"

this is going to take a while.... first i have to figure out how to work either blender or wings 3D
then i have to figure out how to texture it
then i have to figure out what all the stuff in the plist files means
then how to get it to do what i need... then package it up into an OXP

then when 1.80 is released update to a OXZ......

its getting very dark in here.....

send more cookies.....

pls....
