Anything that isn't powered is shown as white on the scanner, including abandoned ships that the pilot has ejected from.
But it has always puzzled me as to why the Escape capsule is white when it is powered. Perhaps it's because it so low powered that it doesn't register.

CPU type/speed - Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 @ 1.73MHz
Amount of RAM - 2GB
Graphics chip - ATI/AMD Mobility Radeon X2300
My OXPs: (not listed alphabetically due to a quirk of the Ext4 filesystem)

I hate that non-alphabetical listing. Diz... do you have both Griff's Rock Hermit and Griff's Station Bundle installed? The bundle includes the rock hermit already.

Hello gang, I haven't been here for literally... years. I still have the pleasure of two devices with abysmal integrated Intel chipsets, but Oolite works reasonably well out of the box on both of them.
But I have lost track of releases a bit - the version I just installed looks suspiciously like an ACTUAL Next Stable Release which is fabulous. However I have lost track of what was rolled into it, and as I have no shaders... what is there recommendation for no-shader machines these days?
Griff's_No_Shaders_Shipset seems to have disappeared, has it been superseded by the core release now or is there a different OXP that's now recommended?

The future release plan is to have each even version as a stable version (so 1.78 will be the next one), and each odd version as a test version where new features are implemented and tested (that's what all the fuzz about the current trunk—the upcoming version 1.79—is about).
For playing the game you shouldn't use the trunk version, thus 1.77.1. is what you need.
