A energy bomb is more effective, but the Q bomb is much more fun to watch.
Can someone inform me on this q-bomb?
is it an addon or am i being n00b Nr. 237.5 here?

It is not an add-on, you can buy it on the ship upgrades menu. It will only appear if you have an empty missle pylon. Also you should be at a high TL world.
It causes a large blue explosion that will destroy you if you dont fuel inject away from the blast quickly. Also, whenever it destroys a ship another huge explosion is created, so it can be cool to watch if you are in a crowded area.

..i think it is a good idea to make some evaluation of computer resources and not allow additional ships to enter if it may affect system stability..
