if you have a slower vessel (python type) this will not do... get extra fuel tanks and utilize them or go to a space fuel station( if you have that oxp)
Hmmm, I seem to remember regularly sun-skimming in my old Python.

Further to the above, and just to prove the point, I've uploaded a video
here on SmivsTV.
This is a standard Python (with scoops and injectors) approaching the sun with zero fuel and then successfully sunskimming. (In fact this was my fourth attempt to get a good video, and all four sunskim attempts went very well - I just wasn't happy with the videos which is why I re-did it).

I stand corrected, thank You. I was never able to get my python to make the escape from the sun, but then I did not have injectors at that time and that is what I based my comment on.. personal experience.

Ah, yes, I wouldn't want to try it without injectors.
It also helps if you have some fuel on approach as you can inject in much quicker as well.
It is also worth mentioning that the Python in the demonstration did not have any heat-shielding - I meant to add it but forgot
Still, I got away with it and that's the main thing.

Oh yeah! First Platinum contract run made for a fee of 8000ish Cr. Now have options for a gold contract with fee of 15000 Cr. I will afford that new ship soon enough!
