Wow, I love the fact that the descriptions are now separate from Povray, will be grabbing this and Lave.oxp soon!
It is a more modular OXP now. You can combine it with any planet set. Although the Famous Planets Textures are in the Povray Sets Themselves now. :D

Is the povray planets projects offline ? I can't seem to find a good link to it related to the wiki. I have found a repository somewhere, but I don't know if that version is still current.

All the links on the page give me an error:

I thought it was my university net which gave me an error, but I'm getting the error at home too. Sucks.

Mmm indeed. I don't host these files. Maybe posting it in the Povray thread or send a pm to Submersible?

Ha ! found it, "cause I'm a pit bull - terrrrierr"

ok sorry, had a black cat - white cat moment. :) never mind.

being an ex webdesigner, sometimes leads you off the intended URL track... so here's a link: http://swarm.perlide.org/static/Povray_ ... -02-28.zip (this is a working one for galaxy 5 found on page 3 of the Povray thread :https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f= ... 4&start=30)

Now, if you get rid of all the subfolders and just enter: http://swarm.perlide.org/static/ you will get to the root, and you can download all Povrays; There's even old versions there too and some other files, I think it might be a test folder or something.

hope this helps.

Okay, I will send a PM to submersible with this info and see what comes of it, so he can update his links.

Quick request on this one.

Could a write up a description for Dirien and Betegere in chart 6 for addition to the OXP?

Maybe keep the scope to G1 & G2 for now. I have been considering a method of indexing Oolite canon and fiction into something you can drill into to find references to this sort of thing - as an aid to OXP authors and oo-fiction authors. Aren't Dirien and Betegere still engaged in 'The Brandy Conflict' ?
Indeed they are. I suspect I will have to come up with my own OXP to add in some details there then.

I kind of fancy making a couple of systems complete war zones.

What was the brandy conflict? And did this oxp ever see the light of day?

Maaarcooose, if you see this, did this project go anywhere?
