Interesting idea, a monochrome version.. now if it could switch Oolite to be in B&W, that would really be something!

As far as I remember does the code use the external views from the cobra III when no custom views are defined.

So there are default external views after all?

Well, there would be some problems with ships of a different size - very small, and you just see it from afar, very big and some or all of the viewpoints would be
in the ship.
Oh, and for B/W Oolite you just need to adjust your monitor...

Yes, but for the whole '60's TV' experience we'd also have to add static and ghosting from other stations, and the game would have to 'warm-up' for five minutes before you could play

I use
xanalogtv with a bunch of Oolite snapshots as my screensaver, to get just that effect...

And if all else fails you could always use a tracker camera to admire your ship.

With best regards to Commander McLane!
EDIT: Added a monochrome version, changed the flasher a little. Monochrome and colored versions should work alongside. Downloadlink above has been changed. Have fun!
EDIT2: Added custom views, borrowed from Griff's alternate MKIII model. Link has been changed to Version 1.02
Excellent work! Well done, Rorschachhamster!

Ok, I had a - instead of a _ in the likeship in shipdata.plist, so there were no NPC Orions... Corrected, link in first post or
here for your convenience.

I just noticed that while the .zip-file has version number 1.03, the .oxp-directory inside has version number 1.02...
EDIT: corrected typo

I'm still going to have a go at a version of this, but progress might be slow. For my usual reasons as well as a new one. See the Outworld forum for the reason.
Once I get the Wings model finished would someone be kind enough to UV map and texture it?

Checked that... it's just the name of the oxp folder. The files are allright. I'll upload a corrected version, but you could propably just change the name manually.
