Very good. The following Cobra is the only think which I think is a bit over the top. Other than that it is really something!

I agree with Jens and pagroove about the "moving" stuff, otherwise fantastic work, sir.

I also did not like the mouse tracking. It continually distracts from the great page when moving the mouse.
This is fixed when browsing the page on an Android tablet. (no mouse there
).

A non-tracking, slowly revolving CobbyIII would be better..

I believe mouse controlled Сobby is not bad feature. I created all design around that
.But I supposed that somebody wouldn't like it, so this is just option you can set on or off (the first variable in js file). As I said I love any kind of mouse or scroll animated stuff, so let me leave a bit 'movable' ship in the demo. (I've just reduced the effect. Check it please

What about logo, I returned the current look, but without 'stars'. May you remember I was the person who redrew it and I drew 2 versions for big stuff and for small things. There is great look of logo with stars on the loading screen of the game , but when it's small like on the site it's look like somebody sneezed to the starbird. And stars in logo don't match to stars in menu.
I recommend the logo without any stars there.
Jens, if you need something, write me and I give all sources with pleasure.

If you switch the character encoding in your browser to Unicode, the text shows correctly.
The page's own character encoding seems to be Cyrillic.
The page seems to define unicode because I read in the page code:
Code: Select all
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
But the browsers I tested (Safari & Firefox) still show it in "ISO Latin 1". Aren't they supposed to follow the coding in the header, if present?
Setting the default encoding to Unicode in my browser is no option as I than get the € (Euro) symbols wrong at some webpages I frequently visit
.

Hmm, weird.
I checked this by closing my browser (Firefox, which I've configured so that it should clear all caches, cookies etc. at program shutdown) and restarting, and the following the link.
When I select 'View' -> 'Show character encoding', the result is: Cyrillic (Windows-1251),
and when I select 'Tools' -> 'Page info', the results are: "Encoding: windows-1251" and "content-type text/html; charset=utf-8", baffling...

it's ok. it's my server's fail. It sets cyrilic encoding overall, but html files in unicode, so it will be work properly on any server with correct encoding settings

I use Google Chrome for most browsing, and found it defaults to Windows 1252 instead of Unicode. The setting is found in "Advanced Settings, Web content", by pressing the button marked "Customise fonts..." (weirdly).
I changed this, and the ' marks now display correctly on the demo page.

Very clever stuff. Impressed. Didn't know you could do that with html and stuff...
Cheers,
Drew.
