Hmm...

We had a question in the Science Fiction Trivia thread about naming alien felines races. That should provide a lot of possibilities for expanding this OXP.

I don't think it's possible, but having the cats eat trumbles (pest control) would be good :)

Unfortunately not possible, because trumbles (deliberately!) can't be manipulated by script. Specifically, they can't be removed.

However, it would be possible for multiple cats to eat/fight/kill each other. :twisted:

Woah... if you could sell those kittens (like pylon equipment) you could breed cats to supplement income, certainly you'd need a way to offload them at some point to avoid critical kitten mass (the trumble "solution" is probably crossing the line).

There'd have to be exceptions though, the robot cat and the ship's dog producing a healthy litter of kittens may raise awkward questions.

ROFL :!: I went to check the Ship Outfitting screen for the current animal, and lo and behold, who should I find ? : Ship's Cat, Smivs ! Described as a helpful and friendly ginger cat that bears a strong resemblance to a certain gourd - sounds like someone we know ! :P

Edit: BTW, I think I'll go ahead and see how Smivs handles life among the 'lanes :D.

Change the relevant equipment keys from EQ_CAT_x to EQ_TOMCAT_x or EQ_ROBOCAT_x, then you can occasionally scan player.ship.equipment for the presence of both a cat and a tomcat, and start a timer if both are present.
