Hi Cmmdr. Pamir Bidou,
Welcome to Oolite and some of the best gaming ever.
I played the first Elite to Elite status and like, never bothered with later releases.
I seen they wire frames as 3D images in the original.
My older brother played one of them Elite games that had Newtonian physics. I tried it for a couple of hours and said "This is no game tis boring"
Elite should have had a warning sign on it "ADDICTIVE
When my youngerbrother sent me the link to Oolite 1.65 he said;
"Don't loose your head in there again"
Ye well, here we are at version 1.76 with all the eye candy and oxps.
One thing seems to remain the same:
Docking... HAHAHHAHAH
Wouldn't have that changed for anything.
By the time I could afford docking computers I didn't need them. Full speed from heaps of angles, though haven't managed under injection speed.
In all the times I dock. it as rare as chickens teeth that I meet some ship coming out, mostly there are ships slowly moving in.
I like to leap frog them, Yup, get behind then leap them, if they are very close to the station just get so close and "nudge" them.
No penalty applies.
Only one thing to remember Oolite is a game, a great game with heaps of brill writers, but a fun game after all. Decades of fun.
