But it`s only extracting the "Random Hits 1.4.14" NOT the actual OXP at the end.

It`s this damn computer I think.
It`s an Acer ASPIRE 5732Z Laptop.
This has nothing to do with the brand or operating system of your computer.

Just try to rename the "Random Hits 1.4.14" folder into "Random Hits 1.4.14.oxp".

So there is a normal folder labeled RandomHits1.4.1.oxp in your Addons folder and you've been to an Anarchy system and can't dial up B on the Advanced Space Compass?
Yes.

One other question - where on your hard drive did you install Oolite to (the initial install of the game itself)?

Windows 7 (and Vista I think) do odd caching things with the program files directories. The recommendation is not to install Oolite there but rather into its own separate directory (c:/oolite or somesuch) to avoid that. Alternatively try running the game as administrator (right click on the executable or link and select run as administrator) and see if that makes a difference.

Also which version of Windows are you running under, just for reference?

Muchos Gracias for ya help lads/lass`s, i`m pleased to report it`s now working!

My Windows 7 was dicking me about & keeping the main addon folder hidden from me, I eventually found it in C drive (Beware, Windows 7 makes you believe it`s in the downloads folder)

I would like to thank you all for your help & now i`ve just taken on a 8 grand bounty to kill a top of the range Wolf Mk II! Let the fun begin! ;)
