
Don't go mad installing every OXP you can. Its recommended to stick with eye-candy first so you can understand how everything works first. I have a list of Recommended OXPs on the wiki.

but i looked into the sofeware manager and there were 3 other Oolite files that hadn't been deleted one of which was sound data. i unistalled them all but no change them unistaled and reinstalled oolite, should i down load a fresh oolite before intalling?

Not that I haven't tried penguinese... the machine before this one had a flavour of penguin installed first (followed by XP 64bit <sighs>, and thence to XP 32bit).
