Yes, that would be best: one page per OXP with link to each page for each ship. Exception: If there is only one ship in an OXP then both can have the same page.
I appreciate and understand what you are trying to do here, but it cannot possibly be 'best' to have three pages instead of one! Also, I have to believe that people looking up my OXP will want all the info together on one page. It seems crazy to have the OXP 'detailed' on one page without most of the important details ie the ship descriptions and info. And if I keep the page largely as it is (with all the info pertinant to it) there will be mostly pointless duplication on the two ship pages.
I'm sure this isn't the only multi-ship OXP like this...there must be a better way to handle this, surely.
Maybe there is, I happy to hear suggestions :D

Heh, took me a while to figure it out: You have to click the refresh button at the top of the dynamic list to get an immediate refresh. Otherwise it shows you something that had been precompiled and I don't know yet how often that is refreshed automatically.
Ah! Thanks. It's there now. It seems to take the name of the picture you use for the info not the actual name for the ship!

That's because the header bar of this info box is supposed to display the name of the ship, not a description of the picture

Redirects?

I just spent some 15 minutes to make 3 pages out of the one in the sandbox wiki. The text probably needs some further editing, but beyond that it's not too bad. Matter of taste in the end, I guess, though: http://sandbox.maikschulz.de/index.php/Clippers_OXP

it does. But take a look at the [wiki]Adder (Oolite)[/wiki] (again, I know, it's getting old). There is a "catalogue" picture for the info box, and an action shot with appropriate description for the start of the prose. Maybe that's what you're after?

Parenthesis don't work in wiki-tags.
Sigh, true.

My solution - stub pages :D

http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Boa_II_Clipper_Class

http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Python_Clipper_Class

They just link back to the OXP's page, so are zero maintenance, but get the ships in the ship list.

Yes they do, but also need the Infobox which is currently on the main page. How about keeping all the prose on the main page and moving the info boxes to the stub pages? Does that make sense?

Not really, to be honest. To me it seems sensible to have all the information about the OXP on the OXP's page. It is clearly desirable that the ships feature in the ship list and I've achieved that with the stub pages.
If the info boxes go on the stub pages it would then make sense to include all the details of the ships in them for completeness, but then we're getting into redundancy and duplication as I insist that the OXP's page has all relevent information about the OXP on it. The 'stub page' material would therefore be a duplicate of what is already on the OXP's own page.
Any change to one of my OXPs already involves a great deal of work and effort. Updates are needed to the readme, the entry on Smivsonline, the OXP table and the OXP's wiki page. I really don't need to add to that 'burden'.

REDIRECTS.

No need to shout...we heard you the first time  :D
The Boa Clipper page already existed as that was the first 'incarnation' of this OXP, and in fact was a redirect to the Clippers page before we started this debate.
If redirects are a better solution, that would be fine by me. Would a redirect allow the ships to appear in the ship list?
Maik?

Sorry. If it was heard, it did not seem to be considered or adressed.

I guess we did seem to ignore you - apologies for that, I did not mean to seem rude.
