Indeed, my Wiki is a pure read-only backup and synchronization only goes one way. See also the announcement here.
The main wiki seems to suffer from an unreliable network card/driver. This was already the root of the outages in the past weeks. I'll inform Winston about it again, he planned to migrate the wiki to another of his servers until the networking problem is solved but apparently hasn't gotten around to doing that yet.

Still the case here that when I click on a link and it times out but click on Refresh and it comes up. I've done about 12 different pages, same effect.
Flying a Cobra Mk I Cobbie 3 with nothing but Explorers Club.OXP and a beam laser 4 proper lasers for company :D
Dropbox referral link 2GB of free space online + 500 Mb for the referral: good for securing work-in-progress.

Check the IP addresses: one works, the other doesn't. Seems like some requests are being routed to a different server. Unfortunately, this partial rerouting even takes place when directly using the IP address. This could explain why it sometimes works and sometimes not.

It seems it works again now. The URL wiki.alioth.net now consistently resolves to 213.230.209.151. Winston actually replied saying he is over both his ears in work but maybe he did fix it after all :)

Follow-up: We're setting up the wiki on another one of Winston's servers now, which is more reliable. Once everything works fine in the copy he will switch over the DNS record so that the URL points to the new copy. The whole procedure will take some days as both he and I are mostly busy with work at the moment.
