One of the main ideas behind GalCop Rewards is for other OXP devs to add such stuff. Though as long as it makes sense to do so, given that GR is a GalCop service so it wouldn't make sense to give rewards points for trading at Free Trade Zones.

So far the only OXP to make use of GalCop Rewards is my other OXP
Safe Docking. After some discussion with those in the #oolite IRC channel here are some more ideas that could be used by someone to create a further OXP that uses GalCop Rewards:
- Get Reward Points for killing high bounty NPCs (e.g. "Commander, since you last docked, our records show you have destroyed a total of 4,217 Credits worth of Fugitive vessels. In addition to the bounty you have already received, you also receive [4217 / 100 = 42] 42 Reward Points.)
- Get points for rescuing escape pods
- Get points for helping out others under attack (ie. whenever you get the "Thanks for your help" message)
- "Commander, we are aware you have returned from Fugitive to Clean. As part of our Clean Pilot Programme, we will now award you 1 Reward Point every day, for the next year if you stay Clean."
- Get points for delivering medical supplies to plague ridden planets or some other special cargo somewhere that GalCop needs it.
- Get points for scooping special cargo and returning it to it's rightful owner.
- Get points for helping ships to use your ship's wormhole.
- "You have neither bought nor sold any illegal items for [x] jumps. Have a Reward Point."
- Lose all Reward Points for becoming Fugitive
(particular thanks to SandJ and Wyvern for their contributions, which is most of them)
Any other ideas or ways to flesh these ideas out?

The first one in that snippet sounds like an excellent choice for integration with [wiki]BlOomberg Markets[/wiki], and the second might be made to work with [wiki]New Cargoes[/wiki] (especially the rare cargoes that are collected by one or two NPCs throughout the charts). I have no idea how you could help ships after having jumped to a different system, though (is that even possible? I thought only pirates and occasionally Thargoids had a chance of following you through). Did you envision something like jumping from close vicinity to a Clean ship with nearly-dead energy banks under attack by baddies? Or were you thinking of an [wiki]Interstellar help OXP[/wiki] scenario?

I currently have an idea for an Epidemics OXP where every now and again diseases become virulent and start spreading (usually starting from worlds where the description mentions disease) and eventually blow themselves out. But as part of this would have been quarantining and getting permits for delivering medicines so getting reward points as well as money would have been a good idea. But as I said it doesn't need to be just medicines and it could be anything such as alien items or Black Box cargoes to research stations, or diplomatic documents to specific worlds, or weapons to Thargoid war zones.

Sounds plausible. The difficult bit, I was thinking, would be defining how you would know who it belonged to and then how to deliver it.

Hmm, if you make NPCs behave the same way, this looks like it might also make an interesting twist on [wiki]Escort Contracts OXP[/wiki], when the promised fee is
just a bit too high. I'd say you should get a bonus for destroying such traitorous escort mother NPCs in that case, though. Maybe this could also be a way to get free escorts yourself?

Well that is definitely opens up the concept into a bigger OXP idea. I would like to see this

Uhhhh,
now that you mention it ........
I still have about 229 points left after the 20 point deduction. This is a bit weird. How did I get so many? Flying about and killing baddies when the police are around seems to get me one point but I didn't kill that many. In the beginning I kept an eye on the number of points gathered but it was one or two per system.
Oh, I did hype from galaxy 2 to galaxy 3 but surely that shouldn't give me so many???
I installed the OXP only yesterday and did little else than trading, apart from a Gal Navy reserve mission.
