Which was what I was doing when I decided to ask them. The alternatives I found during my initial search were not very good at all, so I'm glad I fired of the question.

Would running download links via
https://bitly.com/ be a good way of tracking download stats. It gives a shortened url and allows you to access how many times the url is clicked.

Looking at the thread El Viejo started at Box community, Some people with personal accounts are getting the stats shown. But most of us have upgraded Box Personal accounts and I think that option is not included in the fix. Could some with a normal Personal account can confirm if they get the stats?

I'm still getting stats displayed sometimes on the Updates page. But it's not consistent.

I still get no stats in list or icon view. However, if I click on a file and go to the download page for that particular file I get stats under sharing in the right hand side menu. I'll wait for a few more days, and if nothing happens, I'll post a follow up question to box.com.

Ahhhh - Yep, my stats can be found there too.
Same for me. But it's way more inconvenient than to have the numbers listed in the lists. On the plus side: at least the numbers are still there.

Ahh... found them. I have to go to the preview page to see them, but at least I see the thousands (*cough*) of downloads now.

If they're taking away features at random and without notice, then what's next?
Back to looking for a new host I think - maybe Googles new Drive or something.

This is odd. I have received the exact opposite answer from box customer support. It would be good to know what is going on here please.

With an update that we did last week, this feature was incorrectly marked as a feature for paid users.
