EDIT: found the correct URL for the video card.
Wow - who'd have thought they'd have put such a high-spec (relatively speaking) gpu on a PCI card - we've got some old servers (Top-end Xeon processors c. 2006) that only have onboard gfx with PCI slots (no AGP), so I'm wondering how much you paid for this (if you don't mind me asking), as I can't find a price.

No problem at all Hoggy. I was surprised to find a
1 GB card for a PCI when the best I could find from ATI was only 256 MB. I got the card from an eBay seller for US $104, free shipping included. If you don't do eBay reputable online sites such as NewEgg has it too at similar prices.

Splendid - I shall pass the details on to the relevant parties here at work!

I forgot to add you need at least a 400 watt power supply for that video card. I had to replace my 250 watt one.

Thanks, we don't have any machines running less than 500W nowadays. (hmmm... 100 PCs with 500W PSUs = 50kWs, c. 80% efficient so 60kWs. Well, that'll explain the lab's electricity bill!)
