thx for the tips.
IIRC, I tried to have the joystick 'learn' commands (probably in its internal memory)even BEFORE setting the joystick functions inside Oolite for the first time, so in that case I believe that 'un-setting' stuff wouldn't apply here...
Also, [IIRC again... ] Thrustmaster doesn't ship a driver for this joystick. Instead, Windows simply recognizes it when it's plugged, and allows us to test each button and to calibrate each axis via Control Panel.
I *might* revisit both possibilities again soon, and see if I can get some improvement on either one...
