I hereby withdraw my earlier queries on the subject of Java Script, and apologise to those who know how to use it, as I am obviously ignorant in the subject, and don't really see a light at the end of the wormhole.

Don't give up....we all had to start somewhere, and TBH that's why you're finding this so hard - because you are not starting at the beginning. The light is actually at the start of the wormhole.
I understand that you just want to get your OXP working, but that is not the place to start. As has been suggested before, if you start with simple scripts you will soon see the way they work, and you will learn as you go along, and before too long you will be able to write the scripts you really want.
It really is worth doing this as well, because otherwise you will always be frustrated and un-able to create the things you want to. With a little bit of research and study, both AIs and js are both relatively easy to write, but without a basic understanding of the syntax and structure you will never master them. That basic understanding doesn't come from trying to hack together something really complex, but from starting from first principles and letting your knowledge and understanding grow through experience.
