16k words and Derik's gone off on one, bless him.

Beware the Draconid bearing a vendetta, hmm?

Remember Tibecia? Derik does. E-bombs and cascade torpedoes come in handy, for when mass exterminations are called for...

Tibecia? Yeah, I remember Tibecia. Throw another carapace on the barbie, sport!

Q: How do you liven up a sulphur streaked snowball?
A: Drop a station on it!

Oh when that station came down it would have created a crater roughly 7k across by half a k deep.
93 db impact volume.

A meaty thunk indeed!

Finis: Target this week 16k, achieved 18k. Some trouble with Cascade Torpedoes noted.

Cheers,

Drew.

Target 21k, achieved 21.5k. Slowly losing headway. :(

Udian activated plan 'b' though, that was interesting. :D

Cheers,

Drew.

26k (and 75 words) against a target of 26k. Quite badly sidetracked this week, so pleased with keeping at my target.

Cheers,

Drew.

Target 31k, achieved 30k. Fallen behind slighly, so will do my best to make up somehow... :?

About half done though. All the story arcs are open and running, just got to knit them all back together somehow.

We've got to see Derik's determined assault on the bugs, however not everything has gone to plan, or to put it another way, not everything has gone accord to the plan that most people thought had been planned, though some folks' plans have panned out the way they planned, as I planned.

Hope that clears that up.

Cheers,

Drew.

You know what they say about the best laid plans...

Formulated, copied, signed in triplicate, buried in a peat bog for three thousand years, argued over, resubmitted, buried again, unearthed, then lost at the accounting office or eaten by a small canine, before a planet is demolished to make way for a hyperspace bypass on the way to a bad poetry recital.

...And there's a damn good reason to despise Vogons.

Apart from that, I hope Derik's vengeful wrath put a healthy respect of the devil - or your evil deity of choice - into the bugs, as well as making for far fewer bugs to worry about later, regardless of success or failure to rescue Rebecca.

Almost at 33k on Finis, but have managed to resolve a plot hole too. Derik, Coyote and Daddyhoggy have had a bit of a tiff...

Dropping away from target though. Supposed to be 36k, will be lucky to make 34. However, not necessarily bad news as that's only a guesstimate based on how long Incursio was. If Finis is shorter I may already be about half way.

Cheers,

Drew.

Finis hits 35k. 1k short of target for this week, but I've successfully joined up two parts of the story and Rebecca gets caught out by treachery...

I've also written the 'oh £$%£$, no!' part of the story, which was fun.

Cheers,

Drew.

Thanks for that - hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think. A little different in background from the Oolite Saga, but the same style of characterisation, drama and conflict wrapped up in a little romance...

Cheers,

Drew.
