Back to the original question: Tharg, could you do the Mil grade injectors as buyable equipment OXP?
There you go ;)

Fill fit on anything with injectors except the Vortex and the Maelstrom.
Is there any downside to owning Mil Spec Injectors (I'm a Ying Yang kind of guy) - Do the Military get upset about finding a civ' ship with Mil Spec equipment? Does it have a high(er) rate of potential failure? Expensive Servicing? Can NPCs have it or is this another player-centric bonus?

Nope - It's declassified equipment (hence why it doesn't get stripped out of the Vortex or the Maelstrom).

You just need to be in a fairly high tech level system to get one. And I doubt it could easily be scripted for NPCs, as it's a worldscript.

And of course it's one more thing to break ;)

The Q-Charger is now operational and it's a dream to fly. I'm going to detune it slightly so whatever you put it on will get a 50 to 100% increase in speed. Now that it actually works I can put all the extras in like fuel and energy use and sound for the boost and all the other oxp polish. It took me a bit Thargoid but you were right, its pretty simple script. Just not familiar with velocity and thrustVector but now I am. The thrustVector prevents this from becoming Frontiers with the drift fighting. I must say that a little bit of drift wasn't too bad but to make it work smoothly in a playable way would require a more complex script and lots of playtesting. The only downside so far is I still have to find a way that the speed is properly displayed as adding velocity doesn't change the display for the speed of the ship. It's not that big a deal but after I add all the other stuff I will tinker with it to find a workaround.
Happier days are on the way when you can upgrade the speed of your ship(for a price) as well as some consumables to burn(kinda like paying extra for race gas). Hehe! :D
Later!
Take an idea from one person and twist or modify it in a different way as a return suggestion so another person can see a part of it that can apply to the oxp they are working on.

Q-Charger.oxp is now available in its own thread in expansion packs forum. Mad Max anyone? 8)
