I am sorry about my attitude, but I still think that the idea behind the wiki is to have a editable database.Fatleaf wrote:You still are not getting it. In this community it is not all about what the rules say can be or can't be done but personal respect for another users work. You apparently do not respect other users work. All you can see is what you personally can gain, not respecting other people.
I agree. Some pages, like the Vampire, that have been taken directly from another site, should not be tampered with.El Viejo wrote:A healthy community requires respect and courtesy,
As an OXPer and fanfic writer, I know how the back story of an OXP can be important, many OXPs have novels to go with them, and some novels have OXPs to go with them. But wouldn't it be nice of anybody could help craft the wiki pages to add details about the back story or technical details for an OXP, thus helping to create a more complete wiki in the end?Fatleaf wrote:The purpose of those Wiki pages is to give easy access to a back story to an oxp, which at times can be just as important as the oxp in itself.

Yeah, that's a good idea. If you think the two extra Caducei shouldn't be there, they can removed.Wyvern wrote:...The back-story is the intellectual property of the author/OXP creator and should not be changed with personal additions.
On the whole yes. But you just rode in without even an "excuse me" and decided upon yourself that you had the right to change something just because you could.RyanHoots wrote:I am sorry about my attitude, but I still think that the idea behind the wiki is to have a editable database.
It was complete as it was. What one person has in his own Ooniverse is up to him and no one (including you) has the right to say otherwise. But you are now changing another persons work because you think we all want to hear it.RyanHoots wrote:But wouldn't it be nice of anybody could help craft the wiki pages to add details about the back story or technical details for an OXP, thus helping to create a more complete wiki in the end?
I am used to the openness of Wikipedia, I guess.Fatleaf wrote:On the whole yes. You are lacking in a few manners.
I change it because I want it to be more complete. As I said earlier, if they (my edits) should be removed I'm fine with that. But you are now changing another persons work because you think we all want to hear it.
I meant the wiki as a whole. Just look at all the stubs and deletion requests! Couldn't somebody go over and edit them to add information? I do agree that the Caddy page is is a good page, one of the wiki's best.It was complete as it was.
Can I ask that you read this thread before any changes are considered to the OXP table and its catagorisation.Dragonfire wrote:I'm itching to help clean up the OXP section just a bit. The category lists could do with an update (several dozen active OXP links on the main page that weren't categorized properly)...
