It is purely Oolite giving me trouble. alloys : best case when they are lit by sun : 1.2 km
typical distance i see them : .8
Moray : don't remebmer distance, but they are hard to target

It could very well be your monitor.
The best monitor I've found, for everything and especially oolite, isn't a monitor.
It's a high def flatscreen TV with a computer video input.
