I'm going for the Jawa Sandcrawler look, for the Asp I was thinking more a Millennium Falcon look. What do you all think?

The skin is too basic for that awesome model. With those exausts, it shoud have more chrome, flames, a cheeky motto on the hull... You know what I mean?
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.

You mean like "My other ship is a Mosquito Sport"

Oh and don't worry the skin is basic at the moment, I was more concerned people were happy with the colour scheme. 8)

It’s the old rolled-out-tin-cans criticism again, although this one’s reasonably subtle about it.

What’d really be nice would be the rolled-out-tin-cans thing in a specularity map rather than the diffuse map (Star Trek did this, only with physical models). I think I’ll have another go at revamping the graphics code when I’ve done some more technical changes.

Well, another day another model. here's an early test of the Python - I still have some of the engine cans to do plus the texturing detail on the rear end of the ship.

This pic shows the cockpit area more clearly too.

Cool one!

Put a couple of turrets on it and call it "APC Python", and you have the missing military transport.

Just didn't like the blue patches too much.

Loved the Anaconda look - gave me the impression of a trading vessel that's seen one too many space lanes.

The python skin looked to clean. I agree with the previous poster about the huge blue bits, though the cockpit looks ace.

This may be off topic, but I do prefer the used universe look rather than the star trek look.

Yeah, give us rusting husks! Think of all the laser hits you've had since starting play, I think the average ship would look the worst for wear ;)
WooHoo! My fav game now redone for childhood nostalgia of 20 years ago. Now if only I didn't have to go to work so I could live as a virtual space trader.

Wow... just caught up with the new work going down... Very nice textures gents! 8)

I look forward to a suitably outrageous Imperial Courier!

Yes, it does. That's cos I haven't finished the weathering layer and the scrape layer yet.

Like I said, it's an early test.

The blue bits - I wasn't too sure about them myself. I need to work something else out for that recessed area. Worry not, I have a few ideas...

I thought they were something like the solar capacitor panelsdescribed here.

Look cool to me!

yeah, I kind of like the blue panels - but maybe just keep the upper panels, and split them 'horizontally' (laterally?) into 2 smaller areas...?
