The link i posted gets you all the ships including the Raptor which is the same as the one above. I recognise Coxxon's models anywhere lol. The models included are all the fleet cargo ships, fighters, cylon ships, you name it, about 25 ships in total.

His models have been used all over the place, Bridge Commander, Beyond the Red Line (Freespace 2 mod), various Freelancer mods and many mods for games i can't even remember. Thought it was a great gesture from him personally. Always admire people who share models, Griff and PAGroove, take a bow ;)

I did make a start on the Colonial liners but I don't have a lot of spare time at the moment. So as far as I'm concerned, go for it

I cannot download the files, firefox comes up with an error message 'this site is taking to long to respond' is there any other way to download them?

I tried that link using Chrome and came against the same problem. What i've done is upload two sets of his models, the originals and an updated version, both available here:

Coxxon UPDATED Fleet: http://www.mediafire.com/?49dcbsm1ijsl0qy

Hi everyone I'm a big fan of the bsg original series and would love to help with this in whatever way I can.

Design of this at least in its basic sense I feel is pretty straight forward. Most of the ships I've seen in Oolite are quite simple if you have a working colonial viper mark I model I would love to check it out.

I have played the bsg beyond the thin red line for freespace 2 and also there was am original series one but I lost the files somehow it was the best bsg remake I have ever played.

I remember a situation where I docked at a space bar and then after poking around the equipment screen I found an alarm went off and a screen came up that the bar was getting attacked by a mob or something. One scenario could be that if a player docks at a battlestar that incoming cylinder or thargoids are on intercept and the retro klaxon goes off. I was making a mission for freespace with Fred using the briefing as a co. Unfolding where an unknown contact appears and then each stage of the briefing was a scramble alert leading to launching two wings using some ambience fro. Bsg and I did pretty good at it.

Also another game where I have the files for is an original bsg series remake for starshatter, the gathering storm which was very well done.

One of the oxps I wanted to make was an original series bsg. The new one isn't the same at least to me. The retro style I believe would I feel be easier to accomodate and allow lower perf systems to enjoy this. If anyone wants ill figure out a way to send the files I have for the bsg for freespace and starshatter and don't know if they will be of any help but the galactica cylon raiders and base stars and viper mark I are all intact. Not sure if these would be possible to convert.

If you made a basic shape of what a viper is and the other models I feel this would be awesome. The laser torpedoes would be cool if they fired like the series and perhaps the ai or scripting like the rail gun concept could be used since its not a beam but projectiles of energy which the energy drain on the banks should be quite moderate to maintain balance you couldn't fire forever in the free space one you had to wait five seconds to shoot about three bolts of two but the mod for starshatter is awesome. But not user friendly when it came to doing missions

Megalodon - Take a look at the New Ships Under Development string in the Expansion Pack section. I have a Viper Mark 1 which is on the verge of being released.

EDIT - Now released see post below.

CaptKev - I am relatively new to the Oolite forum however I too have a keen interest in BSG, amongst many other things to be honest), and have recently released an oxp for the Colonial Viper Mark 1.

I have read through the various BSG posts and was wondering if you, or anyone else, are still working on this project.

If so I may be able to offer some help if anyone is interested.

Does anyone know where we are with progress on the design of a Battlestar ? I have read a lot of correspondence suggesting people are working on this in the background but have not seen anything released.

In particular has the issue of 2 dockablle launch bays been resolved ?

If nobody is working on this I may add it to my list of things to do but I may need a little assistance with regard to the scripting for the docking.

Anyone fancy looking in to this as a joint venture ?
