My favorite ones are the God Ad (has the tagline "Spot the difference? Get your coastlines done by a Professional") and Grand Theft Astro, but there must be some dozens more that must have resulted in my spraying tea all over the screen at some point but can't remember them right now.

I think it's more subtle without the exclamation mark.. an order masquerading as NOT an order..

Adding an exclamation mark would make the letters too squashed and thin, to be honest. I wouldn't be able to have them spilling over all four edges like that. And it's intended to go straight for the hindbrain: punctuation would be extraneous ...
I think the original, er, inspiration where I ripped the idea off from is a bit of background detail in a Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comic. And the design itself looks a lot like the title bar from
Watchmen.
