And do it twice as A_C also tagged it but three postings ago (and I almost did but managed to whip away my posting before anybody noticed!!!)

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

I'm getting suspicious about this one ... the same name (and sig) has recently posted a whole bunch of general queries about the same subject on forums all over the place. What for, I don't know – to build up some faint human credibility, maybe? – but my spam-sense is ringing big bells and flashing huge lights ...

Edit: a bit more checking reveals that the trick is, an innocuous (albeit inapt) post is put up, which is later edited by the spammer to include various spammy links ... see http://forums.introversion.co.uk/defcon ... hp?p=81984 for example, which includes a post from our friend, already spotted as spam by the users of that forum.

My spammy-sense went off too - I noticed his odd but somehow in context posting...

This one has got me worried https://bb.oolite.space/profile.php?mode ... ile&u=2570

Don't know why - doesn't show up anywhere on the internet but I think its a sleeper.

If you're not - please stand up and be counted! (and accept my humble apologies)

Ping him/her/it with one of your welcome PMs. If no answer, then probably a spambot.

This guy seems awfully similar, right down to the sig, to this one. Same behaviour pattern, too ... see here and here.

Concurring as well. Just stumbled across the post and asked myself "WTF has that to do with Oolite?".

Away with him/her/it.
