Two things, i noticed "AsteroidStorm 3.53.oxp" doesn't work for 1.74+ perhaps a note should be made about that.

And I can't register there to make pages... :(

Messaged Winston, so far no response. Is he the only admin of the wiki?

Winston has been missing for several months.

Wondering if it might be worth hosting all the OXPs on Berlios?

There is no official release of 1.74, so nobody can tell it does not work with 1.74. It does log a lot of warnings but should work with todays trunk. It didn't work with last weeks trunk though. (thanks to Kaks for fixing that one)

However, trunk users could use the following oxp test releases. None is final as trunk can change again before a 1.74 release. But it is always good to find bugs before a release.

Hmm, okies.

...the wiki problem, are there any plans to make a oxp hosting site or somewhere where oxps can be listed? Makes it kind of hard to find oxp's when all we have is the forums.

If i remember right www.wikia.com does free wiki hosting...

Probably it would be better to get additional Admins for our (Winstons) WIKI. We can't expect that this man is available 24/7.

If I remember right Selezen has already stated that he would do this (Selezen, still up to it?) and I would join too (even if I'm not familiar with it, but it's probably enough to clean up unwanted things).

So we only need to catch Winston and ask him.

I helped with the wiki in its earliest days, and I would be more than happy to help again - I'm pretty much available as I am retired now.

Winston has given myself and ADCK editor access to the Wiki yesterday.

I've some experience editting Wikipedia, so if anyone who hasn't got access wants something updated, then PM me and I will endeavour to make the changes.

I'm also currently unemployed so I have the time to do it! ;)

Now that I have Wiki editor access, I have a question:

I know how to display an image that is hosted by the Wiki, but new file uploads are disabled.

With file uploads disabled, is there any way of using a remote hosted image on the Wiki?

I don't think so, could just make a standard link, the pic wont appear on the wiki, but at least you can go to the pic.

After some research it appears that it IS possible to do this.

The MediaWiki software has an option that will allow external image linking. See here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$w ... rnalImages

I have PM'd Winston, to ask if this could be enabled.

The problem with it is that linking to external pictures can cause legal issues and unwanted attention.

One thing about the Wiki is that the OXP list is a bit unwieldy, to say the least!

Thinking about splitting the large table into several new pages, ie Ship OXPs on one page, equipment on another, etc etc.

What do you think?

Was hoping for a bit more than that!

What categories? What should we do with stuff that could fit in two or more categories?
