Re: [RELEASE] Hyperspace Hangar OXP
I have noticed a recurrence of the accidental storage bug. I am currently working on fixing it. Sorry guys, but THIS BUG IS ANNOYING AND REFUSES TO DIE. RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH.
Nevermind, just gunk in my savefile again.
That is not my desk.

Re: [RELEASE] Hyperspace Hangar OXP
I have two things to share:
1) I'm not dead.
2) A mission is in the works for Hyperspace Hangar.

Re: [RELEASE] Hyperspace Hangar OXP
Hehehehe... I think I experienced a bug last week-end while trying to buy a new ship (ie I could not buy it without selling mine).Ramen wrote:1) I'm not dead.
But I was too lazy to track it. You know, when you prefer to simply play and enjoy destroying thoughtless pirates trying to extort some goods from you?
Next time I want to buy a ship, I come back to you, promise !
Re: [RELEASE] Hyperspace Hangar OXP
Alright! Version 1.14.0 is out!
New features include:
- A very rudimentary mission. The difficulty is, at this moment, fake. (unfortunately) The mission starts in G3, and ends in G6. It is basically a package delivery run, and I would greatly appreciate it if someone tested it, as I haven't had the chance.
- Rewards(!) for said mission.
You can get it from here, or the expansion manager.

Version 1.14.1 is out. The only change is that the oxp now works. ONE PAIR OF PARENS IN THE WRONG PLACE.
It is available here, or from the expansion manager.

Nice!
I'll probably retry to buy a ship this weekd-end. I'll tell you.

Re: [RELEASE] Hyperspace Hangar OXP
Alright, a little update. Version 1.14.2 is out, and the gameplay changes are... NOTHING!
I just wanted to update the changelog format. If you aren't a developer t doesn't really matter if you download this, however for the devs out there who actually want this (e.g. perhaps Norby), here is the download link: http://wiki.alioth.net/img_auth.php/7/7 ... 1.14.2.oxz. You can also get it from the expansion manager.

Re: [RELEASE] Hyperspace Hangar OXP
I just retried. So this time... it's beginning to work!!
First thing: if you are stuck with a non-working Hyperspace Hangar OXP like me, you may try to delete all values related to it in your savegame (Try with a copy of the file first to avoid problems).
I had lots of ships saved, lots of previous things from my previous tries.
The interesting values are those beginning by "mission_hyperspace_".
Yet, it's not enough.
Second, when I buy a new ship, the previous one is stored in the savefile, but I'm credited with the money as if it had been sold.
Third, when I want to switch to my previous ship, I'm being told that I have no other ship. Yet, if I edit my savegame and remove the "EMPTY" block, then I may now access my ship.
Fourth, if a ship has several passenger berths, when it is put out of storage, only one passenger berth is given back.
For my tests, I take one of my savegames, then delete all "mission_hyperspace_" related lines, then I try my tests.

MWHAHAHAAHAAA! IT'S ALIIIIIIIVEE!!!!! (It being me. I have been working as an intern in Real Life since about two weeks ago, so things have been a bit hectic.)
1. I have implemented an option to delete the erroneously stored ships in-game.
2. What you are doing is quicker though.
3. The money thing shouldn't happen. I'll go check.
4. The "EMPTY" should be removed automatically. I'll go check
5. I didn't even think about the passenger berths. I'll have to look into it.

If I were you, I would do something about this bad case of dramatic eruptions. Complications have been known to happen.Ramen wrote:MWHAHAHAAHAAA! IT'S ALIIIIIIIVEE!!!!! (It being me. I have been working as an intern in Real Life since about two weeks ago, so things have been a bit hectic.)
Terminal symptoms include hacking thingies. Please tell me you're not that advanced.
Oh. Me stoopid. I wondered about why there would be this option.Ramen wrote:1. I have implemented an option to delete the erroneously stored ships in-game.
I'll wait, secure in the knowledge that I have a savegame ready to test your new versions.Ramen wrote:2. What you are doing is quicker though.

1. I subscribe to this definition of the word "hacker". While the definition you are (probably) using is more common, I feel that since the hacker community I admire is not breaking laws, they deserve to be called what they want, and have the criminals ("crackers", they call them.) called something else.Day wrote:If I were you, I would do something about this bad case of dramatic eruptions. 2. Do not fear. I am only playing around. I will not go cracking things at random.
3. I am not that into security. I don't even know how to attack a computer, much less attempt to. I am also not really sure how advanced I am. What I have been doing recently is writing scripts to pull data from databases, so I think I am probably not that advanced.
Nah, what you are doing is much less likely to give you repetitive strain injuries. While I did implement that option, to be honest, it was mostly for people who do not want or know how to edit their save file.Day wrote:Oh. Me stoopid. I wondered about why there would be this option.
I'll probably need to do this next weekend, due to Real Life. Apologies.Day wrote:I'll wait, secure in the knowledge that I have a savegame ready to test your new versions.

I use the same. Dr. Frankenstein was quite the hacker of biological systems.Ramen wrote:1. I subscribe to this definition of the word "hacker". Your "MWHAHAHAAHAAA! IT'S ALIIIIIIIVEE!!!!!" was reminding me fondly of him ;-p
Database injection is fun. You might want to try some if only to know how to avoid it

Well anyway, I should probably log off once this is no longer me.

Really, no apologies needed. This oxp is one I dreamt of since I began playing Oolite. I'm ready to wait for it to be perfectRamen wrote:I'll probably need to do this next weekend, due to Real Life. Apologies.
