Which is a very good thing. If you go down, it is consoling to die with a cold beer in your hand!

I love the random ship names OXP. I ran across an Adder with the name "SS Titanic III". I think the pilot might be compensating for something!

What happened to Titanic II, did it hit an iceteroid?

Ha! No idea. I just assumed he's upgraded from a bug or something.

I pulled into the aegis at Biorve, about halfway through a parcel run, and got told I was seventh in the queue. Fair enough. I positioned Mercurial Amethyst next to the nav buoy, and waited patiently. After number six had docked, I got told I was number seven again due to prioritised launches. At that, an Anaconda proceeded to launch, followed by its five escorts - all six of them offenders! The local Vipers were going nutty issuing warnings as they headed out for their jump.

It makes you wonder what the story was behind that ... I'm picturing some mass brawl on the station, resulting in the whole Annie crew and escorts being put on craboid duty - except they have a tight schedule, and contracts to meet, so they tell the local blues where to put their mops and buckets and hightail it to the next system and hope their tags wear off before someone takes a pop at them.

Aye, I was wondering that as I docked. The AI does throw some curious stuff up at times - like the aegis firefight between two escort groups the other night.
As for that Anaconda and its escorts, if I'd not been on such a tight schedule, I'd have followed them - they seemed like an
interesting bunch.

I'm seeing a few of these aegis firefights recently. I just pulled into the aegis at Qudior to find an Anaconda and its escorts being thrashed by Vipers, and no sooner had they done that when another Anaconda and escorts launched, also to be attacked by the Vipers. It was too chaotic a scene for me to see who were offenders at launch, and who became offenders in the mêlée. I was busy dodging lasers and missiles, not wanting to become embroiled in it - I had a deadline to meet.
I mention all this as I wonder if it's abnormal behaviour, or simply an exceptional roll of the dice.

I was doing a passenger run, and as I sometimes do, used Broadcast Comm to ask ships coming and going from the main station if anyone was heading my way, to save fuel-- catch a free wormhole when you can, y'know? A couple of cobras radioed back that they were and invited me to follow them on the jump, so, I targeted them and fell in behind at low speed, waiting for them to jump. And waited, and waited... after a few minutes of no jump I was trying to figure out what the deal was, when suddenly we exited the station Aegis and they turned on me an attacked!
Betrayal and duplicity? Or just bad roll of the AI for once? While I doubt the AI can plan tactics like that I'd love to think they deliberately lied to lure me away from the main station for an ambush... Sneaky Petes.

Assassins will try to lure you out of the aegis - or follow you out of the aegis and/or through your wormhole. One of your passengers has probably upset the wrong people.

Usually they broadcast a warning, though-- 'You should have thought twice before doing business with Namey McName!' Seems a bit odd to me but maybe so. In this case /they/ offered to let /me/ tag along on their wormhole. AI might have gotten a bit confused, there.

Not always (I think)! One becomes suspicious of nearly every ship in the aegis in this business.
Meanwhile, Quraa is very busy tonight - a launch queue of two Pythons plus their escorts, an Anaconda plus its escorts, a Ferdie leading a hunting party, and a patrol or two of Vipers. One of the longest waits for clearance that I've ever had, I reckon. No firefights this time though - that would have been crazy!

Hey Cody still in Galaxy 7? Me too. There is something about it isn't it?
Last night I had no luck as my contract to deliver purple UPS formulas expired. It was impossible to make it to the destination (in the neighborhood of Marsaus) though as I was still in the area of the Kleptocratic Swathe. So I took 2 new parcel deliveries heading in the North direction. I still love this game
