Right, word for word translation makes no sense, but my point way that even the original is pretty meaningless. We know what it means, but I wouldnt regard it as standard english, even as slang.
I am not a native English speaker but, after accepting that an "iron ass" was a beefed up ship and part of Oolite jargon - that is common speak in Oolite universe - "lead posterior" is really really nice, sounds to me as an ancient lady that tries to use a term she once heard...

To translate in other language it could be nice to know what was originally an "iron ass" and why. There's an USAF general that had that nickname, and I found it referred to american custom bike, but have no clear idea except "Oolite jargon".
I suppose
A hard arse in english slang is someone who is not easily beaten in a fight. Iron being a hard metal, and ships mostly being made of metal we now get iron ass.

I took it from the old schooner sailing ship references... Specifically the USS Constitution - aka. "Old Iron Sides". An incredibly tough and powerful ship for it's time. A time when fire was most deadly (given or received) from the sides.

I take "Iron Ass" as an equivalent for our Ooniverse - When it is most deadly when an enemy falls in behind you.

OK Im playing the mission Ive gone to Xeer in G1 followed the trail to Adice.
Jumped into G2.

Now what? No messages, nothing. Do i just cruise about the local systems looking for more messages or the ship itself or have i messed up?

Ive reappeared in G2 in roughly the same position as i was in G1.

Now you have to fly about the galaxy and look for a message on the F7 planet description screen. Try heading northeast.

This is a kind of "undocumented feature" in Oolite, in that Galactic Hyperspacing will put you in the same sector of the galaxy as you was in the previous one. In the original Elite this didn't happen and would put you in a set start planet. You can use this feature in Oolite to access the otherwise unaccessible systems in certain galaxies.

I created a small addendum oxp to the constrictor mission for someone with the same problem a while ago.

it adds a few extra hints to get you back on track.
Get it here if it is not on the oosat/wiki anymore.

edit:
"Ive reappeared in G2 in roughly the same position as i was in G1."

This is not recommended, unless you are certain a high tech planet can be found at those pockets....
could be a good starting oxp for me. :
Adding a small 'blackmailing' mission, with a Gdrive as reward.

Err, not quite.

You need to specifically change some stuff from inside an oxp - or the debug console - for Oolite to let you jump to unaccessible systems in other galaxies.
Unless you disable the safety features, you'll normally end up in the nearest 'safe' system, ie one connected to the rest of that galaxy.

And, if you really really want to, you can program a galaxy jump to transfer you to specific coordinates in the following galaxy.
