But we could have a "recommended OXPs" page with a selection of the most popular.
No.

Firstly, that would require an “official” rating of OXPs, which gets political and messy and leads to an uneven playing field.

Secondly, it would have to be kept up to date, and I want a site that requires minimal maintenance and changes. (This is a major reason why there is no news section or blog on the current site.)

On the other hand, I have previously said that if there were a community-selected recommended starter pack (consisting of a bundle of separate OXPs for simplicity), I would be happy to advertise that on oolite.org.

That'd be great! Should it work via a link to the concerning forum topic so it could be kept up-to-date?

An EliteWiki page seems reasonable.

That's really good! I really like that. It's simple and to the point and easy to navigate.

Needs some mention of Giles somewhere though...

Intentionally, I wanted to ask if I could upload my site after replacing the planet or if there should be any improvements, but probably I can stop working on it now :D

Totally agree, simple and classy.
The star chart idea is great and would, I presume (from a position of little knowledge on these things), be easy to expand upon?

seventh,

As an overall concept and look, imho, it's spot-on. I'm lovin' it. Clear and easy to navigate: 'tick'. True to the spirit of Elite: 'tick'. Eye-catchingly Oolite: 'tick'. 8) 8) 8)

I have already clicked from "About" to "Links" about 20 times just to see the star chart light up all the way across.

Without wanting to get ahead of myself, a couple of minor improvements could be
- to have an exhaust plume coming from the cobra on the front page (shame we can't see that pic on all the pages). Perhaps also some "fierce energy fire" mirroring Drew's text?
- (a plea to) avoid mentioning 1.65 on the 'Versions' text. do all OXPs even work with this version...?

I like! A lot! Bravo! Well done for keeping in the spirit of Oolite/Elite.

Only niggle I see: on my smaller computer, in the downloads, the Linux version is not visible, you have to scroll down.

I know: that's very minor, but *some* people might think there's no Linux version.

Overall, though: me likes a lot.

Splendid stuff, my warmest congratulations for putting something so simple, yet excellent together.

I agree with Ifnfan - not sure mentioning 1.65 is terribly helpful, too many oxp compatibility issues.
