Have a plan for a roof board - will try and get it out before the weekend - how did the 1x1 cocktail bar look - I confess I was just experimenting with all the clever effects GIMP could do but I was pleased with the final result - but what's important is that it looks good on the Constore - all else is immaterial.Ark wrote:@DaddyHoggy and Disembodied: Excellent work in those adrings and ads. The Mecha Bingo ad in disembodies set and the Sunooco will definitely going to need a correction but I do not want to make you correct your sets twice in case I will detect something more after Griff send me the fixed model
By the way, this was done in GIMP. I updated the Mac to OS X 10.5.6 and guess what? Photoshop 7 no longer works. Luckily, my Dreamweaver MX still works (hate the thought of doing websites using just Nvu!)... but it looks like I'm a GIMP person now!
Until I can get a copy of Photoshop Elements on eBay.

Great job on new ads everybody.
Hats off to Ark assembling the team that took this OXP to the next level.
RL won't spare me the time to do a full release with updated credits, pictures and links on my Oolite page and everything at the moment. Sorry about that.

Ark's credits
Changes from the previous version:
1. All the native constores have been replaced with variants of Griff’s Trade outpost (The original one with the ads).
2. Every station has its own dedicated defenders (Pi-42 security, Tescoo security etc) and every defender ship is deferent for each station.
3. Increase the maximum energy and maximum defenders of the constores.
4. Replace the buggy AI of the constores with the one Eric gave me. It is not so wise to attack a constore anymore!
5. Improve and translate (into JS) the script of the oxp. Now the script has a second contition (if the player is launched from the station) and also checks before placing a constore if there is already one in the system.
6. Increase the appearance of billboard buoys in systems with government above 4.Now the billboard buoys almost always replace the original buoys in confederacies, democracies and corporate states and not half of the times like in the previous version.
7. Integrate Ahrumans shady billboards as a very rare encounter inside the asteroid fields of corporate states. Every set has only one asteroid billboard and it would be easily maintained for future sets with just the replacement of the png (with the same logic as the common billboards in every set)

2. All Constore Billboard ads are made by Griff, DaddyHoggy, Pangloos and Disembodied.
3. All Constore Adrings are made by Pangloss and Griff.
4. All Constore roof billboards are made by Griff and Pangloss.
5. All Constore GlowAds are made by Pangloss and Griff.
6. The sidewinder defenders artwork is Pangloss and DaddyHoggy’s job.
7. Eric made the new AI for the constores and also the small JS for the correct facing of the constores.
8. The station itself is a creation of (well who else) Griff. Also Griff with the new improved shaders gave us the possibility to have deferent stations in deferent colors.
9. Special thanks to Ahruman for allowing us to integrate its shader billboard demo oxp.
10. Special thanks to another_commander for all his help and support in the translation of the script.
Notes:
1. Due to the size of Griff’s station the package is now about 23 MB. Maybe it would be wise to split the set. Basic set with sets A and B in one zip, sets C & D in deferent zips (like sets E & F) but I will leave this decision to you.
2. The new version is a 1.72.1 and above oxp so maybe you want to also keep the previous one until we have a stable release. Also you have to decide if you are going to maintain (create new sets) also for the old version (the one with the original constores). I have made things in the new version in a way that it will be easy in the future to create new sets from the existing ones. I did not fundamentally change anything in the structure of the oxp for that reason. Every station has deferent ads, adring, glowads, roof billboard and color. The names of the first 4 constores are the same with the original ones. We have tried to keep the brand name ad and the color of each constore as close to the original ones as we could. It would be quite easy to create new constores for future sets just by replacing some pngs and by changing the color of the station inside the shipsata.plist. I am not planning to disappear so if you do not want to continue create new sets for the new version I will do it for you if you like. But you have to tell your intentions about the future sets.
3. There is no readme txt file in the zip (sorry!!).
4. Since it is your oxp please inform the community for the release. Also when you have the time a creation of a wiki page with pictures of the new constores would be great!! (right now the wiki is down)
