Just learned today that Dan O'Bannon, the creative mind behind Dark Star and one of the driving forces behind Alien, Blade Runner and Total Recall, died yesterday after a short illness.
Another sci-fi legend gone but not forgotten.
RIP Dan O'Bannon

I thought I was the only one who remembered/adored "The adventure Game" - totally amazing - I used to watch it with my dad (that and "The Great Egg Race") - it was one of the few things I think we did together when I was kid. Sad news indeed...ClymAngus wrote:it's been a bad year. We also lost Patrick Dowling, the man who invented "vision on" and "the adventure game". Old things but underpinnings of my psyche.

Don't forget that we also lost the author of Elite - The Dark Wheel, Robert Holdstock.
