Neither test nor stable work on my system

Post by nrubdarb »

Hi folks,

I'm trying to run Oolite (any!) on a Compaq NX6325, with Windows XP SP3. This laptop has some kind of built-in ATI graphics – reported by SiSoft Sandra as "Xpress 1150" and "Xpress 200M Series". Drivers are up-to-date – although this means out-of-date I guess, since the laptop is three years old and ATI only offer bugfixes for this legacy card.

Results:

- Test version (1.73.4)): I get the same screen as this poster here (https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?t=6923) and get no further. No keys or anything else works (e.g. F2). No output to stderr/stdout.
- Stable version (1.65). It crashes immediately. Output of stderr:

Code: Select all

Any ideas?

I am building a new PC soon, so hopefully my new GT9600 will work better...

Cheers,

We will need the contents of Latest.log from the 1.73.4 version. Latest.log can be found in <OoliteInstallDir>/oolite.app/Logs

Edit: Never mind, just saw your post in the other thread.

Sorry, yes, I double-posted by mistake.
